Total primary energy supply in 2013 was 192181 thousand tons of oil equivalent (ktoe), with 65% coming from oil and 35% coming from natural gas. At the end of 2013, Saudi Arabia had the second highest solar PV installed capacity among the Arab states, with 19MW, right after the UAE (33MW). Electricity use in Saudi Arabia has risen by about 7-8% annually over the last decade, with summer peak demand increasing by 93% between 2004 and 2013 (from 28 to 54 GW).
